High above Sendlinger Tor, on the 7th floor of the Cocoon Hotel, the Freischwimmer rooftop bar feels like a memory — familiar, yet new. A pool bar without water, but full of summer feeling. It captures the essence of vacation in the city: light, playful, and full of charm. Turquoise tiles, flippers, straw bags — everything hints at carefree days by the pool. Swings replace barstools, a pool ladder leans into an imaginary basin, and the sign “Nicht vom Beckenrand springen” („No diving“) playfully invites you to let go and relax. The bar opens to the east and west, perfect for sunrise coffee or sunset drinks. With deck chairs, tiered seating, and small tables, it’s designed for lingering and connection. Behind the concept lies a deliberate design philosophy — one that aims for more than just a backdrop. The spaces are immersive, they evoke memories and generate an immediate emotional response.
